"As someone who has been overweight her entire life, I never thought that I would actually look forward to my pt sessions, but I really do.  The satisfaction extends beyond the physical results; I feel empowered in other areas of my life. Eternal thanks!"

“ … I have been training with Revive for 18 months now and I am feeling great!  My kids had grown up and I decided that I no longer had any excuses.

I have had some weight loss over that time (5%) but significant improvement in strength and fitness.  My objectives are to continue my weight loss and increase my strength, but most importantly to reduce the levels of medication I am on for high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Training in a small group has been rewarding socially and physically and the personal commitment that I have with Meg ensures I turn up for every session.  Any issues that I may have are quickly resolved and I have learnt a lot about my body…”

"The encouragement and care that the Revive trainers provide is phenomenal. Each session is well planned and focuses on good technique and plenty of variety, which means that training is never boring or repetitive. I feel stronger, fitter and have more energy than ever before – keep up the great work guys!"

"I have been training at Revive PT for over 5 years. Over the years Meg has helped me to achieve my goals and has pushed me to train harder than I ever imagined I could. She keeps it interesting and always mixes it up. She’s the type of trainer that you just can’t get enough of"

"I first started training with Meg when my second child was about 7 months old and I found myself struggling with the day-to-day demands of a young family and depressed about the extra weight gained over an indulgent pregnancy. (My husband made the arrangements which left me with mixed feelings at the time!) To my surprise I found an almost instant increase in energy levels and general well-being. My weight tends to fluctuate with the excesses of a busy social life but the training helps to keep things from becoming too scary. I have continued my two sessions weekly with Meg now for over 7 years – just another commitment to keep in a busy schedule – but one for which I’m committed for my own benefit and the benefit of my family. To Meg’s credit she continues to keep things interesting and constantly tailors activities to suit my requirements."

After having my second baby in January of 2010, I gained a massive 15kg of excess weight going from 60kg to 75kg, I knew I had to lose it, but with a new born and a 2 year old tearing around I knew it wasn't going to be easy. That's why I went to Revive personal training, it seemed the only way to keep me focused and punctual (so I couldn't make excuses). I train at Revive personal training Bayside, twice a week with my excellent and motivating trainer Brei. On the days I don't train I jump on my exercise bike for 45minutes, this is while my two children are down sleeping. I didn't give myself a time frame to lose the weight, I still wanted to enjoy life and not put too much pressure on myself. So 10 months on and I have achieved my goal weight and my fitness level is fantastic.

My 3 main things for losing the excess baby weight were:

1. Training at Revive twice a week for 45 minutes

2. Eating 5-6 smaller healthy meals a day

3. Exercising that bit extra on non training days, by taking the kids for a walk or jumping on my exercise bike for 45 minutes

Thanks to the guys at Revive personal training that made this goal a reality.

This is from one of my poster girls, a lovely courageous woman who makes getting up for a 6am appointment all worth while, Meg.

"One weekend, just over two and a half years ago I was walking along Hampton Street and took a newsletter from outside a personal training studio. I was overweight and totally unfit, knew I needed to do something about it, but didn’t know where to start. The newsletter was Meg’s and I liked what I read. It gave me the impetus to email and make an appointment to see her.

So ... every Thursday morning at 6.00am I have a one hour session. No one was more surprised than me that I could get up in the dark for exercise! But we persevered and bit by bit the weight came off. Getting from a starting weight of 80 kgs to the 70 kg target was a “woohoo” day. And it kept coming off! I’ve now maintained (Mary is well under 70kg now!) that for the past two years, with the help of a Monday group session (as well as the Thurs) and running! I was walking a few mornings a week for about 40 mins. Got bored and started to jog for 100 metres or so. I increased the walk/jog ratio gradually until I was mostly running. Entered a 3 km fun run. Months later, I did a 5 km fun run, then another one later that year. This year it’s been two 10 km fun runs. The person responsible for this transformation is Meg!

Through the weight loss time she was full of information, encouragement, inspiration, knowledge about nutrition, and more encouragement through the plateaux. It was hard to start with and I know I wouldn’t have stuck with it if she hadn’t been so positive and helpful. And the training sessions have pushed my boundaries big time, which in turn has improved my confidence. And it’s (nearly) always fun! Who knew?"
